Lease Buyout Rules
- Dealer Process Required Buyouts must be processed through an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer. You generally cannot send a check directly to MBFS to purchase the vehicle.
- No Third-Party Buyouts: Sales to non-Mercedes dealers (e.g., CarMax, Carvana, Vroom) are generally not permitted.
- Fees: A purchase option fee (typically up to $150) may apply, along with dealer documentation fees.
Lease Transfer Policy

As of July 1, 2020, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services suspended its lease transfer program. Exceptions are limited to:
- Leases originating in Connecticut.
- Death of the original lessee.
- Business leases where the business has dissolved.
Lease-End Fees & Wear Protection
Disposition Fee
$595 (Standard)
Waived if you lease or finance a new Mercedes-Benz through MBFS to replace your current vehicle.
Excess Mileage
$0.25 per mile
Charged for miles over your limit. (AMG models may be charged at a higher rate).
GAP Insurance
Included. MBFS leases include GAP Waiver protection standard, covering you in the event of a total loss.
